Descriptions, unlock levels and recharge speeds are Activision’s. The links under each item are the places where the official wording names a Perk or a second item, because that pairing is written down and usually nowhere else.
The three slots
A loadout carries one Tactical, one Lethal and one Field Upgrade. Activision describes the Tacticals as limited-per-life items that cover everything from disorienting enemies to disabling electronics, gathering intel and topping off your health, and the Lethals as the limited per-life items that damage or eliminate enemy Operators. The Field Upgrade is the different one: it is the only Equipment that comes back during the match.
| SLOT | HOW MANY | WHAT THE GUIDE SAYS |
|---|---|---|
| Tactical | 9 | Limited-per-life items that offer a range of tactical benefits, from disorienting enemies to disabling electronics, gathering intel, topping off your health, and more. |
| Lethal | 11 | Limited per-life items that damage or eliminate enemy Operators. |
| Field Upgrade | 12 | Powerful devices that recharge during the match after use. They perform a variety of useful functions including defensive and offensive support. |
The one combination rule in the whole list
The guide states that multiple Trip Wires can link together, creating a connected network of explosives. That is the only place in the entire Equipment list where Activision describes two pieces of equipment working together, and it is worth knowing because a linked network behaves very differently from three separate mines.
Where a Perk changes an item
Several Perks name equipment directly, and those sentences are the answer to questions like "should I bring a Heartbeat Sensor if I am running Ghost". Ghost lists the Heartbeat Sensor among the four things that cannot detect you. Cold-Blooded lists the Snapshot Grenade. Stim refreshes Tactical Sprint, which is what Blood Rush turns on. Lethal Reach throws equipment farther, and the Throwing Knife is the Lethal that benefits from it.
What this tool does not do
There is no rating here, no damage number and no suggested pairing. Activision has not published which equipment performs best, so anything that claims otherwise is guessing. What the guide does publish is the effect text, the unlock level, and in a handful of places the exact list of systems an item interacts with, and that is what this shows.
