What it does
Thrown explosive trap that deploys a detonation wire upon landing. Multiple Trip Wires can link together, creating a connected network of explosives.

Where it fits
Lethals are the flexible half of the equipment slot, and most of the launch set is unlocked early enough to pick one deliberately.

Activision notes that a different set of equipment — including many of these — is available in DMZ, discovered in play. The Multiplayer list on this page is the published launch set.
